New Kitchen, Deck, and Porch
First Floor Plan
Existing First Floor Plan
This project is a good example of sensitive renovation, remodeling and restoration performed on a modest Victorian home. The house had been updated in years past with less than sensitive remodels. It had a 1950's style kitchen, a very small front porch that didn't "fit" the house, very few closets and an out of date half bath serving the first floor. Improvements include:
First floor
New updated Kitchen in existing space.
Bayed eating area in Kitchen
Full Bath and Closet to allow downstair bedroom to function as a master or guest suite.
Improved Laundry Room and Closets.
Exterior
New Covered Deck connecting to existing garage
New Front Porch large enough for a porch swing and designed to "fit" the Victorian Syle Architecture
Balcony off of Upstairs Bedroom
New siding more appropriate to the Victorian Style and some window replacement for energy efficiency and "fit"
Second Floor
Improved Bathroom
Additional closets
Optional dormer window above Front Porch (see image)
